"Written in starlight across the celestial vault, the Constellars are divine warriors descended from the zodiac itself. Each monster corresponds to a constellation, and their Xyz formations channel the gravitational power of entire star systems. They are the forces of cosmic order, eternal enemies of the shadowy lswarm corruption."

Trial and Tribulation
I · Noellia
  1. During the war against the Fabled, two Ice Barrier mages and childhood friends, Natalia and Noellia, tried to summon and enslave demons sealed since ancient times, the Steelswarm. The ritual failed: Natalia died, and the Steelswarm's thoughts seeped into Noellia's mind.
  2. After the war, Noellia raised her daughter Emilia alongside orphans of fallen comrades, among them Natalia's son Avance. Slowly changing, she took the Ice Barrier's sacred Mirror, remade it as the Aquamirror, and founded the Gishki, a society of forbidden arts.
  3. The war-loving Laval invaded the Gem-Knights' lands just for sport. The gentle Gem-Knights never struck back first, until the constant raids forced them to rise up and protect their comrades.
  4. Then mechanical angels, the Vylon, descended to force a truce and began meddling in wars everywhere. The Constellar had built them long ago to fight the Steelswarm, and now they were hunting the Steelswarm traces they sensed in Noellia.
  5. Noellia's Gishki invaded the Great Marshlands of Mist Valley, home of the Gusto, who fight as one with their birds. Her real goals were the God said to sleep at the Marshlands' shrine, and the Steelswarm sealed nearby.
  6. Using her own followers, Noellia broke the seal, and the Steelswarm swarmed out, devouring even the Gishki who had freed them. Delving deeper into forbidden arts, she lost her daughter Emilia in an experiment and bound the girl's soul to her will.
  7. The Vylon joined the tribes' champions as armor, turning Gem-Knight Crystal into Prismaura, Reeze of the Gusto into Sphreez, Laval Cannon into Stennon and Noellia into Tetrogre, to buy time for Vylon Omega. One strike of its divine judgement wiped out the Steelswarm.
  8. But Noellia had worn Vylon Tetra only to corrupt it, and the Steelswarm's thoughts spread through the Vylon's shared mind. The Vylon turned on every tribe, and their combined form, Disigma, fed on hatred, absorbing six warriors, Emilia's soul and body among them.
  9. Gem-Knight Pearl, who felt no hatred, slipped past Disigma's senses and struck it down, and the last Vylon fell. The Steelswarm's thoughts, with nowhere else to go, returned to Noellia, near death since the Steelswarm war, and healed her.
  10. Back in command, Noellia had the Gishki absorb nearly every Laval, then poisoned the wind blowing into the Marshlands, and most of the Gusto died. Winda prayed at the Shrine of Mist Valley while her father Windaar charged the Gishki.
  11. The Gem-Knights rushed to the Gusto's aid, and Daigusto Emeral blew the poison away. For the first time the gentle Gem-Knights felt fury, and the veteran Crystal pushed his fusion to its limit as Gem-Knight Zirconia.
  12. All this hatred woke the Evilswarm, a wicked mind born from the Steelswarm's corpses. It raised the dead of the Marshlands against the living, turned everyone they attacked, and crept into the three sealed Ice Barrier dragons.
  13. Warned by the Vylon, the Constellar, star knights of legend, came down to break the chain of evil. Noellia freed the three dragons, but they rose as the Evilswarm Ouroboros, Bahamut and Ophion, and a ritual with Steelswarm corpses made her Psychelone.
  14. Avance's attempt to revive Emilia backfired, making him the monster Levianima, and Constellar Castor died freeing Noellia, only for the Evilswarm to take his body. Herself again, Noellia freed Avance, gave her life to revive Emilia, and left the two the Aquamirror.
  15. The Gem-Knights joined the outnumbered Constellar, and Lazuli fused with Virgo into Gem-Knight Seraphinite. When Pollux and the Evilswarm Castor struck each other down, she and Constellar Rasalhague brought both brothers back.
  16. Seven Constellar united into the dragon Constellar Ptolemy M7, and resonating with them, Zirconia became Gem-Knight Master Diamond. Above the Marshlands, M7 fought Evilswarm Ouroboros for the fate of the world, and Pearl died protecting it.
  17. The battle drew the Divine Wind to the Shrine of Mist Valley. The god enshrined there, disappointed in a world drowning in war, broke free as Sophia, Goddess of Rebirth, to wipe out all life with her crystals of Creation and Destruction and begin again.
  18. His core failing, Master Diamond passed his sword and power of fusion to Lazuli and Virgo. Lazuli fused with the twelve Constellar of the zodiac, and the fusion pulled in Sophia's crystal of Creation: Constellar Sombre, with the power of a god.
  19. Rasalhague had stayed out, meaning to fuse with the three corrupted dragons instead. Avance and Emilia brought him the Aquamirror, and his fusion took in Sophia's crystal of Destruction too: Evilswarm Kerykeion.
  20. After days of battle, Kerykeion held the goddess still while Sombre's sword pierced the orb on her forehead, and Sophia was banished. Then the two vanished, and the survivors of every tribe began rebuilding together, led by Noellia's children and the young Gusto.
Who's who

Side story: the Knight who Surpassed Gods

The Valuable Book EX 6 (2026) tells how the strongest Stellarknight was born to fight the Infernoids, who had taken the power of Tierra, the Goddess of Destruction.

Sensing the birth of Infernoid Flood, Tellarknight Ptolemaeus released part of the power of the Constellation Rings, and the Knight of Salvation, Constellar Pleiades, was reborn. Gathering the Knights of Salvation and the Star Guardian Knights, he unsealed the strongest mechanical angel, Vylon Omega, and made it his armament for the great war to come. So the Knight who Surpassed Gods was born: Exstellarknight Constellar Ptolemy Ω7.

Afterwards a new order, the Tellarknights, was formed to watch over a world that had lost its Sacred Tree, and its knights kept wielding their swords for true peace in a world freed from the cycle of life and death (pictured with Tellarknight Constellar Caduceus and Tellarknight Constellar Delteros).

Executive Summary

The Constellar archetype is a series of LIGHT monsters themed after the stars and constellations. Their core strategy revolves around rapidly summoning multiple members to facilitate Xyz Summons, primarily focusing on Rank 4 and Rank 5. While a versatile multi-Rank strategy was intended, competitive builds quickly focused on the Level 4 core to summon the deck's most powerful Xyz monsters, especially the disruptive Constellar Pleiades.

The Foundational Constellation

Main Deck Engine

Constellar Pollux

The premier starter. Grants an additional Normal Summon of a "Constellar" monster, and this effect does not activate, making it resilient.

Constellar Kaus

The lynchpin. Can target a "Constellar" monster and increase or decrease its Level by 1, enabling Rank 5 (and other) plays.

Constellar Sombre

The recursion engine. Banishes a "Constellar" from Graveyard to add another from Graveyard to hand, and grants an additional Normal Summon.

Extra Deck Toolbox

Constellar Pleiades

The (Rank 5) premier boss monster. A Quick Effect to detach 1 material to bounce any card on the field back to the hand.

Constellar Omega

The (Rank 4) protective shield. A Quick Effect makes all "Constellar" monsters unaffected by Spell/Trap effects for the turn.

Constellar Ptolemy M7

The (Rank 6) recovery tool. Can be Xyz Summoned using one "Constellar" Xyz monster. Detaches 1 to return a monster from field or Graveyard to hand.

The Kaus Pivot: Reaching for Rank 5

This sequence is the central combo of the classic deck, as it's the primary method to summon its main boss monster, Constellar Pleiades.

Constellar Pollux
1

Establish Two Monsters

Normal Summon Constellar Pollux. Use its effect to immediately Normal Summon Constellar Kaus from your hand.

Constellar Kaus
2

Modulate Levels

Activate the effect of Kaus twice: target itself to become Level 5, then target Pollux to become Level 5.

Constellar Pleiades
3

Summon the Boss

With two Level 5 monsters on the field, overlay them to Xyz Summon Constellar Pleiades, ending your turn with a powerful disruption.

A Converging Cosmos

Recent support fundamentally transformed the deck by fusing it with its lore counterparts, the "Tellarknights." This convergence patched every major weakness, providing recursion, one-card starters, and flexible combo paths that shift the deck from a "glass cannon" to a resilient toolbox engine.

Tellarknight Constellar Caduceus

Tellarknight Constellar Caduceus
  • Resource Recovery: On Xyz Summon, adds up to 2 "Tellarknight" and/or "Constellar" cards from Graveyard to hand.
  • Effect Copying: Can banish a "Tellarknight" or "Constellar" monster from hand/Deck to copy its on-summon effect.

Stellarknight Constellar Diamond

Stellarknight Constellar Diamond
  • Graveyard Floodgate: Prevents both players from sending cards from the Deck to the Graveyard.
  • DARK Negation: A Quick Effect to detach 1 material to negate a DARK monster's effect and destroy it.

Typical End Boards

Classic End Board

Constellar Pleiades
  • Constellar Pleiades: The core disruption, providing a Quick Effect bounce to interrupt the opponent's main play.
  • Constellar Omega: Often summoned alongside Pleiades to protect the board from Spell & Trap removal like Raigeki or Lightning Storm.

Modern "Tellarknight" Board

Stellarknight Constellar Diamond
  • Stellarknight Constellar Diamond: A powerful floodgate that shuts down Graveyard-reliant decks and negates DARK monsters.
  • Constellar Pleiades: Summoned alongside Diamond to provide targeted bouncing, creating two layers of disruption.

Competitive Analysis

Strengths

  • Resilient Engine: Modern support provides one-card starters and strong resource recursion.
  • Flexible Toolbox: Can easily summon powerful Rank 4 and 5 Xyz monsters to answer different threats.
  • Potent Floodgate: Stellarknight Constellar Diamond single-handedly wins games against Graveyard-focused and DARK-based decks.

Weaknesses

  • Normal Summon Choke Point: The entire engine can still be stopped by a well-timed negate on the first Normal Summon.
  • Graveyard Disruption: While resilient, cards like D.D. Crow or Bystials can banish key targets for Sombre or Caduceus.
  • Floodgate Vulnerability: Highly weak to cards like Skill Drain and Light-Imprisoning Mirror.

Key Tech Choices

  • Reinforcement of the Army: Searches Pollux, Castor, and the Warrior "Tellarknight" monsters.
  • Fire Formation - Tenki: A continuous searcher for the pivotal Beast-Warrior, Constellar Kaus.
  • Generic Level 4 Extenders: Cards like Sakitama or Performage Hat Tricker help play through disruption.
